‘Excellent’ news for Devon’s beaches

94% of Devon’s designated bathing waters have been classified as either ‘Excellent or ‘Good’, which is a significant improvement on 2015’s 85%.  Over three-quarters of the county’s bathing water beaches are now classified as ‘Excellent’.  Notable improvements have seen at Bantham, which has improved from ‘Sufficient’ to ‘Excellent’, and Sidmouth Town, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Dawlish Town, Thurlestone North  and Woolacombe Village, which have all improved from ‘Good’ to ‘Excellent’.
