Commercial Fisheries

The fishing industry of the South West relies and the co-ordination of effort through different Associations.  These organisations represent fishing intersts at high levels, lobbying for improved legislation, bigger fishing quotas and improved fishing conditiions.  The organisations help co-ordinate the work of the fishermen and provide links from them to other important sectors such as fish producers, the catering industry, conservation bodies and local and national Government.
