The Plymouth Marine Sciences Partnership (PMSP) is a collaboration between the Diving Diseases Research Centre, the Marine Biological Association, the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth Marine Laboratory, the Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science, the University of Plymouth and the Royal Navy’s Flag Officer Sea Training, Hydrography, Meterology, Oceanography. Together we represent one of the largest clusters of expertise in marine sciences, education, engineering and technology in Europe. PMSP research addresses the fundamental understanding of marine ecosystems and processes that must be applied in support and development of policy, marine and maritime industry and marine biotechnology.

PMSP is one of the key partners in the Devon Maritime Forum and is represented on the DMF Steering Group by Jon Parr (the Marine Biological Association) and Dr Mel Austen (Plymouth Marine Laboratory) as well as Dr Gillian Glegg who also represents the University of Plymouth as a key contributor to DMF. PMSP is active in several aspects of the Forum’s work contributing to meetings, providing expert opinion and giving presentations where required. PMSP also contributes significantly to the Forum’s educator network via the National Marine Aquarium, MarLIN, and The Shore Thing. For more information, please contact us:
